Canadian National Railway wants the public to be aware of two upcoming crossing closures for repair projects in Paducah. This work will require the complete closure of the railroad crossing at each location.
Beginning Monday, April 15 at approximately 7 a.m., Canadian National will close the railway crossing at Central Avenue. This closure is to rebuild the crossing track panels and replace crossing timbers. The closure will last until Tuesday morning. Then, crews will move to the crossing at Pines Road. Work at the Pines Road crossing includes rebuilding the main and siding track panels, replacing crossing timbers, and completing the asphalt surface. The crossing at Pines Road is expected to be closed from Tuesday morning through Thursday, April 18.
Please use caution, watch for the work crews, and respect the traffic control devices.
