Paducah Mayor George Bray and the entire Board of Commissioners invite the community to either attend or view Tuesday’s Commission meeting which starts at 5 p.m. at City Hall. The beginning of the meeting will include the latest update on the City’s response coordination and support following the devastating tornado that left a long path of destruction.
Mayor Bray said, “Entire communities were impacted by Friday’s severe weather, and we know that hearts are heavy due to the loss of lives and property. I and my fellow Board members want to publicly express our support and long-term commitment to helping our neighbors and friends.”
To assist with the emergency response efforts in Mayfield, Paducah has provided support from the Paducah Fire and Police departments, Paducah Water, Paducah Power System, and 911 dispatching. More support will be required and offered in the future. Mayor Bray and City Manager Daron Jordan are working with Mayfield Mayor Kathy O’Nan and have offered long-term assistance as Mayfield’s government works to rebuild and resume its infrastructure and service delivery.
The Paducah Board of Commissioner's meeting for Tuesday, December 14 begins at 5 p.m. at City Hall. The meeting will air live on Government 11 (for Comcast subscribers) in addition to the City's Youtube and Facebook pages.
